Hmm. Well, perhaps Teedee has some fondness for it after all?
Sheela 17th Oct 2018, 6:35 PM edit delete reply

I'm thinking that we are looking at TeeDee being pragmatic, for once. :)
Rashala 19th Oct 2018, 3:03 AM edit delete reply

As much as teedee hated being in it, that body was still a lethal killing weapon and she'd never toss away a good weapon she's customized, though I imagine the times she actually uses that body willingly will stay in the low single digits til her retirement. So fondness no, practicality yes.
megados 17th Oct 2018, 12:17 AM edit delete reply
TeeDee uses a phrase I often use: better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. (Now if I could only find it! >_< )

Sheela and DLKmusuc called it: she kept the body!
Oldarmourer 17th Oct 2018, 4:41 AM edit delete reply
My 'signature phrase' too :)
and no it's not isn't...really.....
robnot 17th Oct 2018, 12:20 PM edit delete reply

Just_IDD 17th Oct 2018, 3:10 AM edit delete reply
I don't know, I think TD May still be having some sort of sync problem because she sounds like a broken record.
Centcomm 17th Oct 2018, 5:27 AM edit delete reply

How so?
Just_IDD 17th Oct 2018, 6:54 AM edit delete reply
Well every one of the last three pages she's been asking if she's in the right freaking body. She should already know that she's in the correct chassis because what her connections are telling her.
HiFranc 17th Oct 2018, 7:18 AM edit delete reply

I think that it’s more lack of trust of CentComm.
Sheela 17th Oct 2018, 6:38 PM edit delete reply

Also, considering how badly wrong it went last time …

… TeeDee may be a little worried, and rightly so.
robnot 17th Oct 2018, 12:10 PM edit delete reply
.. so no love for the 12th doc....
and with out looking cant remember her name,, 4th panel with inhibitor, (rape victim) is now doc's (Silver) assistant..
robnot 17th Oct 2018, 12:35 PM edit delete reply
ok looked.. KLY-4016A Kelly .. horror show 224.
megados 17th Oct 2018, 2:13 PM edit delete reply
Yes it's her I think. I'm glad she's okay. That must've been very traumatic, at least it would be for a human. That has always had me wondering; do the DC androids experience trauma similarly? My guess would be that they do, since they do experience emotion.
Sheela 17th Oct 2018, 6:43 PM edit delete reply

Considering that the android consciousness is shaped after a human pattern, I think it's safe to say that they can experience trauma just fine.

That said, knowing that you can get a perfectly good replacement limb, would probably lower the physical-to-mental trauma by quite a bit.
Centcomm 18th Oct 2018, 12:32 AM edit delete reply

They do
megados 18th Oct 2018, 9:44 AM edit delete reply
OK, thanks; it's always good to have definitive information. :D

So then, that brings up another point: Is the device on her neck actually an inhibitor? (That would mean that they are OK in NT in some cases, as long as it's by 'prescription'.) Or possibly is it some kind of therapeutic/medical device to help with her trauma in some way? Combination of both maybe?

Hmmm, it might even be the current style; designer accessories! :D
robnot 18th Oct 2018, 10:41 AM edit delete reply
yes it is a inhibitor.. court appointed cuz she killed some thing. ..wood not call it human..
government an police use em only as necessary, even then they don't like it..
mjkj 17th Oct 2018, 4:18 PM edit delete reply

Oh, but there was a tiny glitch - that Doc overwrote...

yeah, keep the cute TeeDee body - you never know when you might need one - maybe TeeDee could talk to Ophie about body trauma... ;)

...and to have a backup is always a good idea =)
Sheela 17th Oct 2018, 6:47 PM edit delete reply

Heh .. they could start a support club !

TeeDee : "Hello, I am TeeDee and I suffer from reload issues, what with my body being WAY too small."
Ophelia : "Oh, oh .. me too!"
TeeDee : *eyes breasts* ... " 'small' is not the word that comes to mind."
Ophelia : "Oh come on!"
KarToon12 17th Oct 2018, 6:48 PM edit delete reply

Who is that on her T-shirt?
Sheela 17th Oct 2018, 7:21 PM edit delete reply

Hrn .. hard to see, what with the angle 'n' such.

Frankly, I would expect a Max Headroom shirt, but with the dynamic duo, you just never know.
megados 17th Oct 2018, 7:33 PM edit delete reply
Doesn't quite look like Max Headroom, (Matt Frewer) but that would be a good choice.
robnot 18th Oct 2018, 10:44 AM edit delete reply
hence my "no love for the doc." quote..
it's the 12th doctor who. Peter Capaldi
Thormation 18th Oct 2018, 4:23 PM edit delete reply

Doesn't look like Capaldi to me. If I had to guess, it would be either Peter Gabriel or Grand Moff Tarkin.
Ebonbolt 18th Oct 2018, 11:26 PM edit delete reply

Gregory House, M.D. aka Hugh Laurie (I'm not 100% sure, but that's who it looks like to me).
Keera 19th Oct 2018, 5:14 AM edit delete reply
It maybe Patrick McGoon from the TV show back in the 80’s “Prisoners, The” ( original ) or the lead singer from “Mechanic, The” song called “Can you hear me”
Sheela 20th Oct 2018, 1:04 AM edit delete reply

With all the wrinkles in the forehead, it could be Gordon Ramsey. XD
lalverson 17th Oct 2018, 7:59 PM edit delete reply
Looks to me like David Bowie.
stormbringer77 18th Oct 2018, 12:35 AM edit delete reply

I have to agree because I watched "Labyrinth" Saturday with my 5 yr old great niece, and the face does look like Bowie to me.
Ebonbolt 18th Oct 2018, 11:19 PM edit delete reply

Wait, wait, wait…

Teedee, being sentimental? Time to stock up on winter coats to sell to the devil…
jamie59 19th Oct 2018, 12:04 AM edit delete reply

Put it on ice brings up a hypothetical could a rich android keep several bodies & swap them at will?

Also Ada you got a date? You sure are dressed to impress.
megados 19th Oct 2018, 9:26 AM edit delete reply
I believe she does indeed have a date with Kevin.
Rashala 19th Oct 2018, 3:04 AM edit delete reply

Still feel intensely sorry and sympathetic to Kelly given what she endured, I really hope things get better for her/ happier.
Morituri 19th Oct 2018, 1:42 PM edit delete reply
I see that Kelly is still wearing an inhibitor collar. I understand that, even in New Troy where it's otherwise illegal, an android who has in fact killed somebody can be forced to wear one, as a precaution, or as part of what we'd consider a "work release" program for criminals.

But given what she endured, specifically because of and by means of an inhibitor collar, I'm sort of amazed that she's not constantly in a PTSD panic whenever something reminds her of what it is.
megados 19th Oct 2018, 8:42 PM edit delete reply
I can surely understand what you're saying; the collar was a big part of her trauma, but I think it's also possible that she realizes that it's just a thing, and the real problem was the dirtbag wielding it.
