Thanks for the update and good to see you two are back but i noticed this did not show up as an update ?
megados 6th Jun 2018, 9:54 AM edit delete reply
I had that experience also. (did not show up) Glad it's sorted out. :D

Thank you for the update!!
Is that a line of trees at the foot of the mountain in the distance? Would imply water, a necessity even for a concealed hidey-hole...
The desert type climate preserves even very old cars!! Although it may just be that fashions come around, and around...!!

I applied a little magnification to the base of the hill in the second row. The vertical structures (which is what I think you are talking about) appear to be the same color as the mountain itself. I would expect some green if they were actually trees.

nice - on the way home... =)

Glad to see everyone back in action! (Especially Cent and Rose!)

Feelie has some adjusting to do; I bet she's just hoping to get back to a 'proper' body soon!
Just_IDD 6th Jun 2018, 9:19 AM edit delete reply
I bet these gals are working themselves into a job and they don't even know it. Their place is like the best portfolio and I'm betting they beat the socks off of anything that Rome has available currently in this department.
Sheela 8th Jun 2018, 1:17 PM edit delete reply

Hah, just imagine those gals going at developing new things together with old man Setorius ?

He'd be all like "It must be organic!"
And they'd be all like "No! Robotic!"

And then Irene arrives, and then they have cookies.

"Don't even have to pay him."

Hmmm. Either he volunteered, or they are violating his rights, or he isn't sentient deserving of rights (a mere robot).
Centcomm 6th Jun 2018, 12:02 PM edit delete reply

Hes a bot. :D
Speedy Marsh 6th Jun 2018, 11:59 PM edit delete reply
So? The bots that are manipulating elections these days are closer to being sentient than the politicians that they're getting elected. ;)

(Just kidding. Not trying to start a political flame war)

Also, I know it's a different kind of "bot"... unless there are a bunch of GR-650s out there somewhere, madly banging away on keyboards, posting randomly generated fake news on Facebook. XD
Sheela 8th Jun 2018, 1:15 PM edit delete reply

He's basically Edict Mk. MCXXXIII, or something like that. :D
Siren 6th Jun 2018, 2:19 PM edit delete reply
Those doors are rigged to open? What set is that bunker from?

The landscape looks beautiful too.
Centcomm 7th Jun 2018, 4:55 PM edit delete reply

its a set from Davo - Quonset huts. its a older set.
Siren 13th Jun 2018, 4:05 PM edit delete reply
Thanks. Much of my library is older models. Oftentimes they just need a little texture and shader work, but I rarely stick to using items as they come out of the box anyways. Customizing things is half the fun.

The quality of Daz and Poser products has always - and still does - vary so wildly that the newer stuff isn't always superior quality (from a modeling perspective at least).

Yeah I'd pick an easier target than one guarded by Jeeves to raid I like breathing.
Sheela 8th Jun 2018, 1:19 PM edit delete reply

It's not Jeeves you have to worry about, it's the giant robot tentacle monster in the basement!

.. he's called Avi, and he fancies himself a doctor.
megados 8th Jun 2018, 4:00 PM edit delete reply
Maybe both? Jeeves gets your attention, while Avi creeps up behind you and . . . :D
DLKmusic 11th Jun 2018, 9:38 PM edit delete reply

A multi-tentacled bot that sneaks up on you from behinds and....

From the same lab that tweeked an Ero-Waifu subroutine...

You guys have been reading WAY TO MUCH MANGA!
Sheela 12th Jun 2018, 1:40 PM edit delete reply

Hah, that reminds me of the old StarCraft defence that the Zergs had, a giant tentacle that came up from the ground and pierced your butt.

It was NOT nice. XD
KarToon12 7th Jun 2018, 6:44 PM edit delete reply

Nice to see those sneak peek images now in sequence with the proper context. In the preview, I thought she was saluting something at first, but nah--it's just the sun. XP
Just_IDD 13th Jun 2018, 7:19 AM edit delete reply
Maybe as the ships' joke character she needs to saliute every time she walks through a door.

(I realize its just a shell)

Orlanth? Does Greg know?

I have to ask, with the mech-bio transitions being done, is it possible for there to be an bio-mech transfer?
knuut 10th Jun 2018, 10:46 AM edit delete reply
linkage, yes. Transfer, working on it. Likely to start with prosthetics.
highlander55 11th Jun 2018, 1:48 PM edit delete reply

Not nit-picking but the skin on both human and android appear smooth like plastic or synthetic.
Is that due to the model software you are using? (Just wondering)
Naldru 11th Jun 2018, 3:32 PM edit delete reply
Skin is very hard to render because it is composed of multiple translucent layers with differing levels of transparency. That is probably why the first Pixar fun-length movie was Toy Story. The surface was supposed to be plastic.

There are ways to get more realistic skin (https://thinkdrawart.com/daz-studio-iray-skin-tutorial ), but it is a great deal of effort and very time-consuming. With multiple panels on a page, getting consistency would be even harder.

End result. It is possible, but avoiding the uncanny valley is very very difficult and time consuming. I don't think we want less material from the talented author and artist.
