When in Nova Roma* do as the Nova Romans do. ie: Slink around and scheme quietly!
*(Especially being a hostage and all that...**)
**(She doesn't owe anyone in Nova Roma any consideration. She should keep strictly out of the interpersonal politics of the royal family. And at the risk of being considered callous, it's not exactly murder that is going on here!)
No, she doesn't "owe" anyone in Nova Roma anything, but a person who hears the sounds of violence, angry voices, and screams of pain, and chooses to ignore them, is an utterly worthless shitheel.
Given that those sounds are coming FROM THE NEXT ROOM, on the other side of a door that can't be locked, ignoring them would also render our utterly worthless shitheel literally too stupid to live--whoever is misbehaving in there might just walk in and do the same to her, after all.
Along with having some sense of basic human decency, Lynn doesn't know WHO is in there attacking Acantha. She's realized that it's someone who has, by some unknown means, managed to circumvent the security. That's all.
So she should consider risking her life* by physically intervening in a situation that involves an absolutely insane and unfettered ego** with even less inhibitions at the moment than usual?
Maybe if she could cause a distraction that would draw attention.*** Like metaphorically setting off the fire sprinklers or something else with plausible deniability.
Ethical morality is a price Survival often can't afford to pay.
*(chained in dungeon, torture, mind-stripped breeder, forced organ donor, ect.)
**(Lynn is young, but markedly intelligent. She will soon figure out who is attacking Acantha.)
***(There is only one authority who could intimidate the Imperator. Also the Imperator is almost certain to extract excessive retribution if he is thwarted in his desires!)
This IS the same Lynn who, after having her vehicle shot down, tried to take on an armed and dangerous hostile in melee combat. She's not exactly prone to passive reaction ;)
@Centcomm: As a matter of information; How long does it take to produce a clone? Does the process follow a natural timeline, or can it be accelerated?
Is it correct to assume Nova Roman med-tech is significantly antiquated?
That depends on several factors - its a medical organ / limb body part thats being cloned then hours .. if its a full clone top to bottom ( mind you thats technicly illegal in new troy ) then one week.
Nova roma does have the technology to clone humans and they have the tech to adjust genetics on the way but the process takes 2 to 3 months ..
additional notation - The cloning tech used in andriod construction uses "trunciated DNA" meaning no brain is formed or spine and internal organs are minimal , normally grown around the andriod body frame so ... :D
well considering a lot of andriod systems are based on human analogs there is some overlap the part that really diverges is Nuro-sciences and such, however another area of heavy overlap is Cybernetics A area that encompases both Humans and Andriods.
Shut/Peace with the !
Bah you Away from me! *likley Get Away from me.*
And the aiiiieee well duh

It involves Decky....his rectum....a tazer weapon and about 5000000 Volts of direct current

(Or, possibly, rational reaction.)
Perhaps time and experience are yielding the early results of wisdom in this unexpected situation.
*(he said ironically.)
That is funny!

with 4s as long as theres no massive tissue death they can be healed / repaired.
Is there considerable overlap between the practice of human and android medicine or is there a 'transparent pachyderm trail' between them?
( not making fun ;/ just happen to agree with you )
